Diving safari
Diving safari is a sea cruise on a comfortable yacht with a rich diving program, which most clearly reveals the underwater world of this area of the sea. The vessel on which the diving safari is carried out is equipped with all the necessary equipment for diving, the crew of the ship always have one or several dive guides who know the conditions of diving and the most interesting places for diving.
When you go on a trip and choose between staying at a hotel and a safari, the decision depends on your underwater experience and the conditions for diving in your chosen country in a given season. Compared with the coastal trip, the diving program in safaris is much richer in both the variety of places and the number of dives.
In a hotel trip, the choice of places for diving is limited by the distance from the coast, because in the evening before the twilight time you need to have time to return to the hotel. There are objects that are so far into the sea that they can not be reached in one day’s transition. But in the diving safari there is an opportunity to dive into these distant, and therefore more interesting, untouched by people places.
During diving safaris, mutual understanding and a friendly atmosphere are especially easy, because most of the time people spend together – in preparation for diving, in discussing what they see under the water and just after the evening conversation in the cabin. And, of course, during diving, because the number of dives per day can reach four!
Diving safari is a colorful kaleidoscope of impressions, memorable for a lifetime. MSU’s Underwater Club offers a variety of diving programs in Egypt and safaris on various vessels around the world.
Usually in one diving safari participants gather at different ages, with different diving training. Depending on this, the group is accompanied by one, two or three instructors of the Moscow State University’s PC plus one or several local experienced dive guides. Special include technical, trimix, family and biological diving safaris.
Technical and trimix diving safaris are conducted on routes where dive sites are planned with great depth. First of all, these are programs in the Red Sea, less often there are separate routes in the Philippines and in Palau. For such safaris, a ship is selected that has additional technical capabilities and special equipment. One of the instructors at the Moscow State University, who accompany the group, is necessarily certified by a technical instructor. In tehnosafari usually takes part a group of technical divers and Trimixnik, and, of course, there are amateur divers and even children. To make it convenient for all participants, technical divers are going to dive before or after all “normal” divers enter the water. This is one of the most interesting diving safaris, because you can see not only the underwater world, but also get acquainted with other types of diving, hear during the evening rest a variety of impressions from day diving.
Family diving safaris involve the participation of adults and children. Adults are not necessarily parents, everyone who likes the planned route and vacation dates participate in the safari. Usually the instructor-psychologist dives with children, conducts children’s diving courses, selects safe places for diving. Adult participants have their own program: interesting dive sites with different levels of difficulty, their own diving courses. Even a trimicen can turn into a family diving safari: if the whole family dives, then they all relax together! In the same way, it is not uncommon, when biological safari turns into a family-biological one, everyone is very pleased! Family diving safaris are always accompanied by at least two instructors. They are organized in the Red Sea and the Maldives.
