How to choose a dive school
Diving without training is not only dangerous, but also not very interesting, because, as we have already written earlier, they will only take such a daredevil on an “introdive”.
It is necessary not just to “get” a cherished plastic card – it is the quality of training that is important. Those who believe that the very fact of having a certificate will allow them to freely dive anywhere will be disappointed. In any self-respecting diving center and even on safari, the first dive is always a test (“check-dive”). Experienced dive guides always recognize the “teapot” and never take it on a difficult dive, even if it is a dive master – according to the documents. The decisive factor is not so much a certificate and a logbook, as the behavior of a person under water. And if the diver has completed the “aby like” course and without “open water”, nothing good awaits him.
You should not study in a diving center with suspiciously attractive prices, unless, of course, we are not talking about promotions of well-known centers: if a company has extremely low prices for a very popular product, we will inevitably think about its reliability.
Diving tourism opportunities
Those who have passed the “introdiving” stage and at least the initial course of study are offered “daily diving” (“daily diving” in English). As a rule, this is a package of 10 dives: 5 days, two dives a day, in the morning and in the evening. Naturally, any options are possible: a different number of dives or days, diving from the shore or from a ship, etc. The more dives in the package, the lower the cost of each individually: wholesale is always cheaper! As part of the package, and in addition to it there can be special, “excursion”, dives: for a specific shipwreck (“wreck”), diving in an interesting, but far from the diving center place (certain places or points of diving are called “diving sites ”), trip to the point of diving on camels / jeeps and so on. Diving centers in each country have their own zest.
On the “dive safari” is worth to tell. By ordering this package, every non-seasick diver will be able to get to the most interesting places in the open sea on a specially equipped diving yacht (of course, diving not from the yacht itself, but divers from its side). Experienced guides know where and when you can see sharks or stingrays, where shoals of fish arrive, what an octopus eats for dinner, as well as many other underwater secrets. Safari – a very long adventure, which usually lasts from a week to two, depending on the route. The important point is that when collecting a group of people unfamiliar with each other, do not forget to clarify the level of each: it will be hard for a novice to keep up with the professionals, and for the professionals they can quickly get bored with the “mouth” of the recently converted.
